An exceptionally fine specimen of a Hermanovsky sphere with a preserved complete core and cap. The so-called core of the sphere (flat pit/ lens) is made of dark shiny phlogopite, which is surrounded along the entire circumference by radially arranged needles of silver-grey anthophyllite. The outer edge of the sphere is again covered with a thin layer of phlogopite scales. This is a very rare mineralogical curiosity.
