Harmotome, calcite

Sample of crystals of barium-rich zeolite harmotome. A nice sample of colorless, perfectly developed harmotome crystals, which are about 2 millimeters large. A continuous crust of these zeolites, which belong to the youngest minerals of the vein of the Příbram uranium deposit, grows over white scalenohedra of calcite. These minerals are grown on a fissure of granite, and the sample comes from a gas reservoir built from the Příbram shaft No. 16 of the uranium district.
