Star quartz

An exceptionally large specimen of so-called “star quartz” from a classic, now-extinct locality. Quartz grows radially from the center of crystallization, which is why it forms radial structures resembling stars on cleavage planes, and in cavities, it forms coarsely crystalline, kidney-shaped aggregates .
