An exceptional specimen of native gold forms foliated and dendritic crystalline aggregates that have grown into a cavity. The entire specimen is composed of native gold, in places overgrown with small, shiny crystals likely of calcite. The specimen originates from the well-known Colorado deposit, which was active mainly at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
