Argentite forms a black to black-gray, metallically dull, shrub-like aggregate consisting of a series of smaller, irregular crystals. This is an exceptionally beautiful specimen of this silver sulfide from the classic Ore Mountains locality of the Svornost mine in Jáchymov. Jáchymov is also the type locality for this mineral.
