Arsenic forms a gray to incipiently brown thin crust, reaching a thickness of 5 mm and resting on the underlying rock. On arsenic very frequently occurs small, elongated metallic shiny crystals of argentopyrit with pronounced incipient colors. Jáchymov is the type locality for argentopyrit.
