A smaller, very nice specimen of yellow needle-like crystals of the extremely rare mineral carlhintzeit, a hydrated fluoride of aluminum and calcium. This mineral was first described in the world from Hagendorf in Germany. However, newly found samples from China are still the richest and most aesthetic specimens of this mineral. In this sample, carlhintzeit occurs with clear crystals of the also very rare mineral creedite.
