Cuprite on the sample forms, especially in the present open fissures, small, steel gray, metallic lustrous dipyramidal crystals, which reach sizes up to 4 mm and sit on a strongly limonitized substrate rock. This specimen is a nice example of this copper oxide. The specimen comes from the Chinese mine Chenmenshan.
