Summary: After a brief overview of the development of Czechoslovak mineralogy until 1945, the book provides a summary of the most significant mineral localities and the paragenetic contexts in which the minerals occur. In the explanation according to genetic systematics, it deals with minerals of igneous rocks, pegmatites, hydrothermal origin, sediments, metamorphosed rocks, and weathering products. Partially, it also elaborates on the topic of deposit geology in Czechoslovakia. Along with a large amount of pictorial accompaniment, the publication is equipped with two appendices (a minerogenetic map of the CSSR and a schematic map of the area of the Central Bohemian Uplands and the Doupov Mountains) and a critical bibliography.
